In this section we aim to answer some of the most common questions about signage: What materials can my sign be made of? We have the ability to use many different types of materials, from extruded plastics, acrylics, glass, wood, co-polymers, aluminium, steel, and composite materials. Can I choose my own font style? We have an extensive range of fonts to choose from which we can recreate old artwork or produce new. Can you replicate my corporate identity? By supplying us with a line .eps file our design department can buy recreate your artwork. Can you create a representation of my final product? We can provide you with a photographic proposal of you sign. Can I use copyrighted images and logos on my sign? Yes, but you will need to seek permission from the owner first. Will my sign require planning permission? Generally all illuminated signs visible from the road will require advertisement consent from the local council, depending on your location you may be in a conservation area, you may need listed building consent. If you are concerned about this issue, please speak with one of our representatives or your local council development department. How long will it take to manufacture my sign? We will work to a mutually agreed time frame, but the main determining factor is the size of the job to be undertaken. What quality controls do you have in place? An in house control system, with interdepartmental checks ensures that all signs are manufactured to the highest standard What guarantee does my sign have ? Our signs are completed to the highest possible standard and are have a 1 year guarantee from completion of the installation. Does my sign require any maintenance? General cleaning and relamping at regular intervals through the year will keep the sign looking new; we can provide this as an after service on your new or existing sign. We also offer an emergency callout service for breakdowns and by having an house neon shop; most callouts are completed with 72 hours What's the life span of my sign? This is very much based on the material used, location and maintenance of the sign, generally you should expect a sign to last a good 10 years, however companies normally change signage every five years to keep the image looking clean and up to date. What policies does your company have in place? We have a health and safety statement, equal opportunities statement and environmental statement; these can be produced on request. We can also produce method statements and risk assessments on a contract to contract basis. Do you only do signage and lighting? We can create a corporate identity for you, prepare way finding schemes and carry out shop fitting work.
